Boys basketball: Lions fall on road to Lyman Memorial

LEBANON, Conn. — Clayton Carini and Ian Spracklin scored 12 points each, but the Wheeler High boys basketball team lost to Lyman Memorial, 67-41, in an ECC Division III game Tuesday night.

Lyman led 34-19 at the half and 60-27 after three quarters.

Carini made four 3-pointers as Lyman (8-9, 5-6 Division III) played a 3-2 zone that forced the Lions to take outside shots.

Spracklin, who made a pair of 3-pointers, was coming off a 41-point performance on Friday in a loss to Griswold.

Seth Jones led Wheeler in rebounding with seven.

Wheeler next hosts Putnam on Thursday at 7 p.m.
